A NOTE FROM YOUR MODERATOR:

Dear Members,

As the moderator of NBCC, I hope you are all doing well, and I offer prays to everyone because we are all suffering from the effects of Covid 19. Whether it be you personally, or loved ones, and whether it be health or finances, or even social distancing, one way or another, we are all effected by what's happening.

I am aware that with all the social distancing it may feel like we are disconnected; however, we are connecting on levels now that we previously have not been able to do. If we could put aside the pain from our loss and/or illness, and/or the stress of financial burdens; if we could relieve ourselves of it all for just a few minutes, then perhaps we could acknowledge the fact that we have been given the gift of time. Time to love and focus on our family, our God, our essence. These are such valuable parts of who we are; yet, prior to the virus responsibilities took priority over them. With this time, we now have we are connecting with these valuable parts of us and they have taken precedence.

Another way we are connecting during this time of social distancing, is with God's gift of Nature. We now have the time to sit in the sun and relish in its warmth. To breath in the
air, inhaling all of its abundant aromas. Bringing all of our Lord's nature into us and
having the time to communicate with it, analyze it, to connect with it, without the connection ending because of a responsibility.

So, although it may seem that we are disconnected by social distancing we are not, in fact,
we are connected. Connected on levels deeper and more meaningful then the levels we
found ourselves connected prior to this horrible virus. This is because we are connected
now through the gift of time ... time for us to enjoy, to love, to explore, to learn, to internalize, to worship. Time to spare, along with the choice of how to use it!! This is a gift. A gift on which no value can be placed.

I pray we will honor all those who have left this life due to this virus. I believe we can by continuing to give ourselves this gift of time. When normalcy returns and we make the time we need to remain connected on these deeper, more meaningful levels, this can bring homage to those we have lost.

May God Bless You and Keep You Safe,

Connie Miessau
